Product description
Seven small solderless breadboards provide the infrastructure for flexible circuit prototypes. Components with wire diameters of 0.6 to 0.8 millimeters are inserted into spring-loaded metal contacts; connections are created by inserting jumper wires in parallel. The arrangement of 25 tie points per board follows the standard 2.54-millimeter spacing, which is compatible with common components such as resistors, LEDs, potentiometers, or sensors.
Each tie point connects to a row of five contacts; four or five adjacent contacts are internally connected. This means one jumper wire per connection is sufficient instead of occupying several contacts individually. With seven boards, longer circuits can be arranged or several independent setups can be developed in parallel. Components can be removed and reused without damage; a wiring error requires no soldering or desoldering.
Mini-projects using single-board computers or microcontroller boards benefit from the compact size of these boards. Three or four are enough for an LED display with a basic circuit, a temperature or humidity measurement setup, or initial logic stages. In learning environments, test setups can be assembled quickly without students having to solder materials or destroy components. During experiments with sensors, relays, or simple amplifier stages, the boards and components remain ready for use for months or years.
Designed for voltages up to five volts. Connecting several boards using jumper wires only works if the wires are thin enough; approximately 0.6-millimeter enameled copper wire fits without problems, while thick cables bend the contacts. Without an external power supply, a potential is present only at the components themselves that carry current.
Safety information
When working with this educational device, voltages of up to five volts are used. The product is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes and must not be connected to the household power supply. If you are unsure about the correct circuit, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
