Product Description
This module supplies breadboards with two voltage rails in parallel. The 3.3 V and 5 V outputs are provided on the power rails, so both voltage levels are available simultaneously. This allows components with different voltage requirements to be operated on a single board without requiring level shifters for the power supply itself.
The module is powered via Micro-USB using an external power source; a suitable adapter or power supply must be provided separately. The reverse-polarity protection circuitry protects connected components from incorrectly connected power sources. Since both voltages are available at the same time, prototypes with mixed 3.3 V and 5 V logic ICs can be built directly, for example combinations of modern ARM-based sensors and classic Arduino-compatible modules.
Suitable for all breadboard experiments with Arduino shields, microcontroller boards, sensor and actuator modules, as well as educational projects requiring multiple voltage levels. It is also practical when a 5 V board needs to be expanded with 3.3 V components.
Operation requires a Micro-USB power source with a current rating of at least 1 A. Populated breadboards may also be required, depending on the application.
