Product Description
This multi-turn trimmer potentiometer with a resistance value of 500 kOhm is used to calibrate, adjust, and finely tune resistance values in circuits. The cermet resistive element, made from ceramic and metal materials, provides long-term stable settings without wear. The 25 turns between the mechanical end stops enable precise adjustment. This allows resistances in signal-processing or measurement circuits to be calibrated precisely where coarse adjustment would lead to inaccuracies.
Adjustment is performed from above using a slotted metal shaft and a screwdriver. The potentiometer has three solder terminals for through-hole mounting on circuit boards: two for the ends of the resistive element and one for the adjustable wiper. This allows the component to be used both as a fixed voltage divider and as an adjustable resistor. The design prevents uncontrolled over-rotation: after reaching the mechanical stop, the shaft continues to turn without damaging the component or changing its internal setting.
The sealed housing enables reliable operation even in humid or dusty conditions. The operating temperature range of -55 °C to +125 °C covers both industrial and harsher environments. The maximum load of 0.5 W limits the current, which is why this trimmer potentiometer is designed for control circuits with low to medium currents. Typical applications include fine-tuning signal levels in measurement circuits, calibrating gain and volume settings in audio equipment, and selectively adjusting circuit parameters during development and in the field.
Safety Information
Work on or near electrical installations must be carried out by a qualified electrician; consult one in advance if you are unsure about commissioning. This component is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes and is not intended for installation in household mains circuits.
