Product description
The geared motor operates at 6 V DC and uses its metal gearbox with a 1:120 gear ratio to convert higher input speeds into lower speeds with very high torque. The application requires a circuit with a 6 V power supply; control is provided, for example, by an H-bridge module to control the direction of rotation and speed.
The high reduction ratio produces a motor with very high torque and low speed, making it ideal for vehicle drives where pulling power is more important than speed. Robot platforms equipped with this motor move slowly but powerfully, for example when pulling loads or overcoming obstacles. This motor also performs well in winch systems and roller positioning mechanisms.
A regulated 6 V power supply is required for operation; a PWM-capable H-bridge enables variable speed control. The motor connections are typically two-pin and allow simple polarity reversal to change direction. Power consumption under load depends on the torque and should be taken into account when sizing the power supply system.
Safety information
The gearbox develops significant torque when controlled; any parts that could be touched must be secured against unexpected movements. The motor is intended exclusively for prototyping, testing, and development purposes and is not suitable for installation in household electrical circuits. All basic electrical safety principles must be observed when powering and controlling the motor; if you have questions about safe commissioning, consult a qualified electrician.
