Product description

The emergency-stop switch with 1NO and 1NC contacts is used wherever a safe interruption of power is required in the event of a fault or emergency. The rotary switch combines one normally open and one normally closed contact in a single housing, reducing the need for separate components.

Rotating the switch opens one contact while simultaneously closing the other. This enables both monitoring of the switch status and redundant safety logic in protection circuits. The switch is designed for high-current applications and does not delay actuation.

Applications range from machine emergency-stop systems and laboratory setups to emergency shutdowns in development prototypes. Those working with higher loads benefit from the two contacts, which can be used in parallel for redundancy checks or separately controlled functions.

The component is ready for immediate connection to circuits powered by laboratory power supplies and similar sources. Circuit planning should take the position of both contacts into account, as the normally closed contact safely interrupts the current flow in the event of a fault, while the normally open contact can simultaneously activate feedback.
