Product description
This plastic chassis serves as a mechanical base for autonomous small robots and steerable model vehicles. The design uses two independently driven rear wheels and a servo-steered front axle for intuitive maneuvering and cornering.
The chassis combines precisely positioned holes for standard geared motors with an adaptable servo mount, simplifying access to commercially available drive electronics. Its small dimensions also allow for compact project builds where space is limited. Anyone looking to give mobile robots or remote-controlled vehicles a simple foundation will find a proven basic design here.
The two driven wheels enable straight-line travel and turning on the spot, while the servo allows steering angles of up to approximately 30 degrees via the articulated front axle. The 67 mm wheelbase provides stable support on level surfaces with a moderate turning radius. This makes the chassis suitable for indoor projects, smooth floors or carpets, and competition robotics with size restrictions.
Operation requires two geared motors with M3 or M4 screws, a servo motor, a power supply for both types of motors, and a microcontroller platform for control. Rough or steeply inclined surfaces may exceed the capabilities of the small design; the wheels are intended for normal surfaces.
Safety information
The chassis is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes, not for use in production environments or with machinery. During assembly and operation with electric drives, observe the safety requirements of the motors and power sources used. If you have questions about integration into more complex systems or about the power supply, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
Scope of delivery
The chassis is supplied as a kit and must be assembled yourself. Package weight: approx. 750g
