Description
Product Overview
- Adapter for connecting ATX power supplies to prototype boards and development setups
- XH socket (2.54 mm pitch) for connection to the board’s power supply connector
- Plug for the +12 V, +5 V, and GND wires of a standard ATX power supply
- Power supply for projects with higher power consumption or multiple modules, without the need to set up external power distribution
Product Description
The XH adapter connects an existing ATX power supply directly to prototype boards and development systems. This eliminates the need to purchase a separate power supply for projects that require more power than a USB port or small bench power supply can provide.
The power supply connects to the adapter via its standard plugs. The XH socket on the other end fits common board connectors with a 2.54 mm pitch. This makes it possible to power multiple modules without individual wiring.
Typical applications include complex robotics projects where motors and sensors run simultaneously, or systems with many LEDs, relays, and actuators. Long-term test and development setups also benefit from a central, stable power source instead of multiple separate power supplies.
The adapter requires a ready-to-use ATX power supply. The 12 V and 5 V outputs should be matched to the requirements of the target board.
Safety Notice
ATX power supplies operate at voltages up to 12 V and can deliver considerable currents, so care must be taken to ensure secure connections. The adapter is intended exclusively for prototype setups and test and development purposes, and is not suitable for installation in household mains circuits. If you are unsure about the power distribution or supply requirements of the complete setup, consult a qualified electrician before use.
