Product description
The LED tube contains 60 WS2812B RGB LEDs per meter in a silicone tube. Each LED has its own controller and can be individually adjusted for color and brightness. Control is carried out via a single data cable using a serial single-wire protocol, requiring only one data output from a microcontroller such as an Arduino or ESP32.
The operating voltage is 5 V DC. Since each LED draws up to 60 mA at full brightness, total power consumption increases significantly with the tube length and brightness. Longer sections therefore require an adequately sized 5 V power supply, especially when all LEDs are to illuminate in full white simultaneously.
The silicone tube protects the LEDs from moisture and dust (IP67) and also serves as a diffuser. It distributes the light evenly instead of allowing individual light points to remain visible. This makes the tube suitable for decorative contour lighting on furniture, running-light effects, color gradients, and freely programmable light patterns, both indoors and outdoors.
The 5-meter length can be extended by connecting multiple tubes in series; connections are made using suitable connectors or soldered connections. Operation requires a 5 V power supply with sufficient capacity, a microcontroller, and the appropriate software library for the WS2812B protocol.
