Product description
A 10-axis inertial measurement module captures spatial orientation and movement. With three accelerometers, three gyroscopes, and four magnetometer coils, it maps tilt, rotation, and magnetic field direction simultaneously. Combining these data streams enables stability control without separate calibration steps.
The I2C interface connects the module to the Raspberry Pi using just two lines. This allows multiple I2C modules to be operated on one bus and addressed individually, saving connection pins. Power is supplied via the standard GPIO header.
Applications include robot stabilization on uneven ground, drone orientation during flight, motion detection in IoT projects, and motion control for cameras and gimbals. The module can, for example, enable a vehicle to detect its tilt and adjust its wheel drives accordingly, or a camera to independently compensate for its drift.
Operation requires the Raspberry Pi pin header for power supply and I2C connectivity. A single-board computer with GPIO access and I2C support is necessary. The software library for data processing must be obtained separately.
Safety notice
The module is intended exclusively for prototyping, testing, and development purposes and is not suitable for use in household electrical circuits. If you are unsure about the correct pin assignment, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
