Product description
The microswitch with roller lever detects mechanical positions and transmits them as an electrical switching signal. An object pressing against the roller causes the lever to tilt and triggers a rapid contact change without the contact gradually transitioning to the new state.
The component operates as a changeover contact (SPDT) with three solder terminals. The common contact COM can be wired to either NO (normally open) or NC (normally closed), depending on whether the switch should turn on or off when pressed. The contact resistance is a maximum of 30 mΩ; leakage currents are negligible.
The vertical design, with terminals perpendicular to the PCB, also fits in confined installation spaces. The housing measures only 12 mm by 6 mm and is 6 mm high, and is soldered directly onto the board. The switch operates with currents of up to 2 A at AC voltages of up to 125 V, making it suitable for small to medium electrical loads in devices and machines.
The component can be used as a limit switch on moving parts, as a proximity switch in machines, or as a position sensor in custom controllers with microcontroller boards. Its design for up to 5,000,000 switching cycles and its operating temperature range of -25 °C to +65 °C ensure a long service life in various environments.
