Product Description

The mount securely holds the widely used ultrasonic sensor in various positions. The plastic housing protects the sensor from dirt and mechanical influences, while the modular design allows it to be adapted to different mounting locations. The sensor remains accessible at all times for connecting the four signal wires.

The ultrasonic sensor requires unobstructed sound propagation toward the front; the mount ensures that this area remains clear. The mechanical attachment allows pivoting movements, so the measurement direction can be changed without rewiring. This is practical for moving robots or swiveling sensor mounts.

The mount is suitable for obstacle detection in mobile robots, distance measurements on mounting fixtures, and experiments involving distance measurement in laboratory setups. Secure positioning also improves reliability in stationary systems such as automatic door openers.

Only the mount is included; the sensor and the required wiring to the microcontroller must be obtained separately. The sensor is powered and programmed via a controller board such as an Arduino-compatible system.
