Product description
This RFID transponder complies with the ISO14443 A standard and operates at a frequency of 13.56 MHz. The transparent coin shape, with a diameter of 25 mm and a thickness of 1.6 mm, enables integration into applications where the reader must be able to see through the chip. The usable memory capacity of 664 bytes is sufficient for managing product codes, identification numbers, or access data.
The tag communicates with a passive RFID reader in the near field at distances of up to approximately 10 cm. The exact reading range depends on the antenna characteristics and the reader's power. The chip does not require its own power source for communication; instead, it is powered by the reader's magnetic field.
Applications include access control systems in which the chip tag is positioned in card slots or beneath transparent surfaces, as well as inventory management and product tracking in industrial environments. In transportation systems, such transponders are used for vehicle identification at toll stations. Animal identification and customer loyalty programs also make use of this compact form.
An ISO14443 A-compatible reader (RFID reader) is required for operation. The exact range and reading reliability depend on metal surfaces and environmental influences in the immediate vicinity of the chip. The transparent plastic does not interfere with radio transmission.
