Product Description
The TFT LCD display provides 2.2 inches of color for measurement displays, menus, and status information. The resolution of 320*240 pixels is sufficient for graphical user interfaces in compact devices, but becomes limiting for fine details or small font sizes below approximately 8 points.
The display is controlled via the parallel 8-bit or 16-bit interface, which transfers data significantly faster than I2C or SPI. The integrated ILI9341 driver IC handles pixel management. The power supply is 3.3 V or 5 V depending on the model variant; when mixing these voltage levels, a level shifter between the signal lines and the 3.3 V display is required.
The display is suitable for dashboard displays in measurement projects, small measurement interfaces, control menus in robotics projects, or configuration displays for data loggers. A specific application example is displaying temperature and humidity in a weather station with icons and numerical values.
In addition to the display, operation requires a microcontroller board (Arduino, STM32, or similar), connection cables, and a power supply. A resistive touch panel is optionally available, enabling finger input. The circuit setup is complex because all eight or sixteen data lines, plus the control signals, must be wired.
