Product description
This temperature sensor uses the 1-Wire standard and requires only one data line for reading. The stainless steel housing makes it robust and suitable for outdoor use or humid environments. The included terminal enables secure, detachable connections without soldering.
The measured values are available digitally and do not need to be processed through amplifiers or analog-to-digital converters as with analog sensors. This reduces the complexity of the circuit. The sensor stores upper and lower temperature limits that can be used to trigger alarms. Up to 127 sensors can be connected to a single 1-Wire bus, reducing the number of connections required on the controller.
The sensor is used in temperature loggers for storage rooms and cold chains, in temperature control systems for aquariums and terrariums, or for monitoring machines for overheating. Thanks to its accuracy, the sensor is also suitable for weather stations and smart heating controls. Its wide measuring range covers both freezing temperatures and summer heat.
The sensor is powered by microcontroller boards or single-board computers with 1-Wire support. For practical use, the programming libraries for the respective system must be installed. For longer cables spanning several meters, a terminating resistor at the end of the bus is recommended.
Safety information
The product is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes and is not suitable for installation in household electrical circuits. The stainless steel housing is waterproof, but the connector and cable are not; observe the moisture resistance of all connection components. If in doubt, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
