Product Description
This radio module operates in the 433 MHz band and connects digital systems wirelessly. The TTL interface enables direct connection to microcontroller boards and other 5 V logic without level conversion.
The module transmits and receives data via radio waves in the ISM band, but requires an external antenna for optimal range. The maximum range of approximately 100 meters applies in open air; indoors or in the presence of obstacles, the distance is significantly reduced. With current consumption below 50 mA during transmission, the module is also suitable for battery-powered projects, but only for intermittent use with longer transmission pauses.
Typical applications include wireless sensor networks, such as transmitting temperature or humidity readings from multiple measurement points to a central data collection station. The module is also suitable for simple wireless remote controls, door openers, or short-distance notification systems. Please note that this involves unidirectional or half-duplex communication, not true simultaneous two-way data exchange.
A 5 V power supply is required for operation and must be obtained separately. A radio antenna is not included and should be attached as specified. The module operates without automatic frequency synchronization, so the transmitter and receiver must be tuned to the same frequency in the 433 MHz band. National regulations must be observed when operating in regulated radio frequency ranges.
Safety Notice
The module is intended exclusively for prototype development and testing and development purposes. With longer transmission pauses and battery operation, the thermal load is low, but continuous transmission generates heat. Observe national regulations for operation in the 433 MHz band and consult a qualified electrician if you have questions about integration.
