Product description
A servo control board with its own CPU decouples the control of multiple servomotors from the main controller. Instead of wiring each servo individually to an Arduino, ESP32, or Raspberry Pi, this board handles the simultaneous control of up to 32 motors. This saves the main system considerable processing power and connections.
Control is provided via four different channels: USB-C to a PC at 115200 baud, UART or Bluetooth at 9600 baud, Wi-Fi, or directly via a PS2 controller. The internal 16 MB flash memory buffers up to 256 action groups, allowing programmed motion sequences to run without an active connection. The board itself operates at 3.3 V, while the electronics require a 5 V operating voltage and the connected servos are powered separately with 4.2 to 7.2 V. Galvanic isolation of the servo signals prevents reverse currents from the motors from damaging the control logic.
The board can be used anywhere multiple servomotors need to be moved in coordination. Multi-axis robotic arms, hexapod or other multi-legged robots, complex motion sequences in animatronics, and other robotics projects with extensive servo choreography can be controlled and preprogrammed with it.
An external power supply with sufficient capacity for all connected servos is required for operation. Control from a PC is carried out using Windows 7-compatible or newer software for programming the action groups. The control voltage levels are not compatible with standard 5 V logic inputs when external sensors are to be connected.
Safety information
The control board is intended exclusively for use in prototypes, tests, and development projects, and not for installation in household electrical systems or operation at mains voltage. Damage may occur at servo currents above 10 A per channel or total currents beyond the power supply limit; size the external power supply accordingly. If you have questions about the correct power supply or wiring, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
