Product description
The Shield increases the number of available inputs and outputs of the Raspberry Pi Pico with connection ports for sensors and actuators. The Pico's GPIO pins are distributed across separate connectors, allowing multiple modules to be connected simultaneously without soldering.
The connectors eliminate the need for direct wiring to the Pico. The Shield uses the Pico's existing GPIO ports and routes them to standardized terminal blocks. This allows the microcontroller to be equipped with various sensor types in just a few minutes and reconfigured later.
The module is suitable for quickly building prototypes with multiple parallel sensors, for example to measure temperature, humidity, and air pressure simultaneously, or to combine multiple motors and switches in one project. The printed pinout also enables beginners to make error-free connections on their first attempt.
In addition to the Pico, a power supply or power source with the voltage required by the connected components is needed for operation. The Shield's operating voltage itself depends on the connected Pico, typically 5 V or 3.3 V. A Pico and the associated sensors or actuators must be obtained before assembly.
Safety information
The module is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes; it is not intended for installation in household electrical circuits. Ensure correct polarity when connecting external power sources. Before commissioning, consult a qualified electrician when working on or near electrical installations.
