Product description

The PAM8403 audio amplifier module with potentiometer transmits amplified stereo audio signals from microcontrollers or mobile devices to speakers. The integrated amplifier circuit operates according to the Class-D principle and delivers the input signal at up to 5 W per channel at full power, while keeping power consumption low.

It can be powered by sources between 2.5 and 5.5 volts, making it suitable for direct connection to USB ports as well as 4-cell AA battery packs or LiPo batteries. The integrated potentiometer enables manual volume control at any time. The input impedance is designed for low-impedance signals, allowing clean audio signals at low levels to be transmitted over cable lengths of several meters.

Applications include portable radio systems with audio playback from microcontrollers, battery-powered toys with sound output, voice modules for robotics projects, and Bluetooth amplifiers using single-board computers. It can also be used as an amplification stage for alarm sirens in automated models or for real-time audio feedback during sensor tests.
