Product description
The wireless transceiver operates in the 2.4 GHz ISM band and enables wireless connections between multiple devices. The integrated power amplifier (PA) and low-noise amplifier (LNA) provide a long range and high sensitivity, enabling connections over distances of up to 1000 m.
The device communicates via the SPI interface and requires three control signals (CE, CSN, IRQ). The high current consumption of up to 115 mA during operation requires a stable power supply with sufficient capacity; in standby mode, consumption drops to 22 µA. The external antenna and a matching network are absolutely essential.
Typical applications include wireless data transmission between sensor nodes, remote controls for robots or drones, and wireless modules for IoT projects. For example, a measurement data acquisition system can transmit values from multiple temperature and humidity sensors to a central station, while the range also enables use in larger buildings.
The SMD package requires soldering experience or a prototyping board with a preassembled breakout. Microcontrollers must support SPI communication and provide enough free pins for the control lines. A 16 MHz crystal is included in the device, so external procurement is not necessary.

The transceiver is intended exclusively for prototyping and development purposes. The 2.4 GHz band is subject to regulatory requirements that vary by country; compliance with the applicable radio regulations must be clarified before productive use.
