Product description
The case transforms a Raspberry Pi into the iconic shape of a Nintendo NES console. It retains the original's basic dimensions and proportions, but can be opened to keep the single-board computer hardware accessible and replaceable if needed.
The button block on top sits directly on the Raspberry Pi's GPIO pins and provides two mechanical buttons for Start and Select. They can be programmed for individually defined functions, such as restarting the system or initiating custom application logic. This eliminates the need for a separate control panel for basic operation.
The case fits the Raspberry Pi 3B, Pi 2B, and Model B+. The opening in the lid accommodates originally mounted heatsinks up to approximately 30 millimeters in height without restricting airflow during operation. If you prefer a different cooling system, you will need to measure it. An optional rear-facing GPIO panel can be attached so that sensors, relays, or motors can remain connected via pin headers without opening the case. This turns the eighties classic into a compact control center suitable for home automation, retro game emulation, or network monitoring, while providing direct access to the Pi's existing input/output hardware.
Commissioning requires a Micro-USB power supply for the Raspberry Pi as well as an operating system and software. The case itself contains no electronic components and requires no calibration or additional driver installation.
Safety notice
The case contains no high-voltage electronics and is not connected to the household power circuit. The integrated button is operated via low voltage from the Raspberry Pi. The product is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes.
