Product description
This sensored brushless motor is designed for use in lightweight model aircraft and multicopters. The rated speed of 270 KV means that the motor delivers 270 revolutions per minute at an input voltage of 1 V. This results in a maximum speed of approximately 3000 revolutions per minute when operated at 3S (11.1 V nominal), which is suitable for faster flight movements.
The integrated Hall sensors enable electronic commutation via a suitable controller. These sensors detect the rotor position and continuously provide feedback to the controller, resulting in optimal torque across the entire speed range. This provides significantly better control and efficiency compared with sensorless motors, especially at low speeds.
The motor is designed for operation with 3S LiPo batteries and can handle a continuous current of approximately 30 A. These currents generate high thermal loads, so breaks between flights should be observed to prevent overheating. The M3 threaded holes allow various mounting options on drone frames or model aircraft.
Operation requires an ESC (electronic speed controller) with sensor support and a 3S LiPo battery. The controller must be programmed appropriately for the motor's sensor outputs. The motor specifications should be matched to the requirements of the flight controller being used to ensure stable operation.
