Product Description

The microswitch is a compact limit switch for monitoring positions and limit states in electrical equipment and mechanical systems. With its changeover contact design, it switches loads of up to 5 A at 250 V AC, allowing it to be connected directly to standard household circuits.

The device is actuated mechanically, for example by a plunger, lever, or cam. The contact changes immediately after the defined actuation point without any slip. The three-position XH2.54 connection allows both normally closed and normally open contacts to be used from a single component.

In machinery, such switches serve as safety limit switches, for example to stop movements as soon as an arm, drawer, or lift reaches its limit. In automation applications, they indicate whether an action was successful or the end position has been reached. Monitoring functions such as checking whether doors or flaps are open are also typical applications.

The module requires a separate power supply for 250 V, which is not integrated at the factory. The wiring between the switch and the load must be rated for the switching capacity; if you are unsure about the wire cross-section or installation, consult a qualified electrician.
