Product Description
This inductive distance sensor uses the Hall effect to detect metal objects without contact. It is suitable wherever compact, contactless proximity detection is required.
The sensor measures the change in the magnetic field caused by nearby metal objects. The switching output provides a digital signal that can be processed directly by microcontroller boards or control systems. The device operates within a measuring range of up to approximately 5 mm, making it suitable for precise positioning.
The variable operating voltage between 5 and 24 V enables connection to various power supplies and controller systems without additional level shifting. The M12 connector ensures secure, standardized connections in industrial environments. Typical applications include detecting sheet-metal edges in handling tasks, detecting piston positions in cylinders, or measuring distances in adjustment machines.
An external power supply within the specified voltage range is required for operation. The digital switching pulses can be easily integrated into switching logic or measurement software. Available in several versions, which differ in design and response characteristics.
Safety Information
This product is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes. Integration into household electrical circuits is not permitted. Work on or near electrical installations must be carried out by qualified electricians; if anything is unclear, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
