Product description
The brushless motor is a standard module for small multicopters and FPV racing drones, in which four of these motors generate flight movement in combination with electronic speed controllers. The product is available in two variants with different speeds, resulting in different thrust and performance characteristics.
Depending on the variant, the motor operates at between 820 and 980 revolutions per volt of battery voltage. With a 3S lithium-polymer battery (11.1 V), speeds of between 9,000 and 11,000 revolutions per minute are therefore possible. A speed-controlled ESC (Electronic Speed Controller) is required to regulate the motor speed using pulse-width modulation and thereby enable flight control. The right variant depends on the flight weight and the desired flight characteristics: lower speeds provide more thrust with lower current consumption, while higher speeds enable faster flight maneuvers with higher energy consumption.
For operation, four motors must be mounted on a frame that also holds the battery, flight controller, and four ESCs. The motor itself weighs under 30 g and takes up very little space with its M2 screw mounting. It is connected to the ESC via a 3.5 mm connector, while the ESC receives its power supply from the battery. Typical applications include recreational drones weighing under 250 g, FPV racing drones with high acceleration values, and beginner quadcopters for indoor flight. For outdoor flight in windy conditions, a more robust design is often required.
Operation requires a 3S LiPo battery, four ESCs (speed controllers) with sufficient current-carrying capacity, a flight controller with receiver, and a stabilized drone frame. The motor itself requires no maintenance or calibration.
Safety information
This motor is intended exclusively for building model aircraft and for testing and development purposes. High rotational energy is generated during operation. The propellers must be securely attached and protected against contact during operation to prevent injuries. Before commissioning the complete model aircraft, consult a qualified electrician if there are any uncertainties regarding the power supply and electrical safety.
