Digital logic board - learning board for logic circuits, soldered or unsoldered
This goes with it
Description
Hands-On Switching Logic - Digital Technology in School with the Logic Board
In computer science classes, logic circuits are usually simulated using programs such as LoCAD or Logisim. A real setup is often avoided because ready-made experiment boards are frequently expensive to purchase, and building circuits from individual components can be difficult for learners to manage. The Logic Board gives learners a hands-on approach to switching logic and a connection to the underlying physics - at an affordable price.
Since the inputs and outputs of the soldered ICs are labeled and the power supply is permanently wired, the board can also be used by inexperienced learners. It is powered by a CR2032 coin cell, which is readily and inexpensively available.
Note: The rotated precision sockets only work with jumper wires with round pins.
Functions and Possible Circuits with the Logic Board
The following functions are available to learners on the circuit board:
- 4 slide switches for input
- 4 LEDs for output
- 4 AND gates
- 4 OR gates
- 4 XOR gates
- 4 inverters
The included logic elements have been selected so that many different circuits can be built. These include, for example, the following:
- 4 half adders or
- 2 full adders or
- 4 RS flip-flops
Since the circuit boards can be interconnected, it is also possible to design more complex circuits or, for example, connect full adders built by learners to form a ripple-carry adder.
Scope of delivery:
- 1* Digital Technology Logic Board (optionally pre-soldered or unsoldered)
Note: In the unsoldered version of the Digital Technology Logic Board, the SMD components are already pre-soldered.
