Product description
This component set brings together the basic building blocks for your own circuits: 1,390 components from six categories, including resistors, capacitors, transistors, diodes, and light-emitting diodes in several colors. All components are provided individually and must be wired or soldered by you.
Resistors limit current and set voltage levels. Electrolytic capacitors store energy and smooth supply voltages, while ceramic capacitors provide smaller capacitances and handle high-frequency tasks. Transistors switch or amplify signals and can be controlled with low control voltages. Diodes conduct current in only one direction and are used for protection or rectification. Light-emitting diodes indicate states visually.
The wire leads allow use on breadboards for test setups or direct soldering onto perfboards and printed circuit boards. The set covers typical requirements for soldering practice, assembling test circuits, and repairs, without the need to source individual components.
Soldering requires a soldering iron and solder. Storing all these components is therefore considerably more efficient than constantly purchasing them individually.
Safety information
Soldering produces fumes and heat; ensure adequate ventilation and wear suitable protective equipment. This set is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes. Work on or near electrical installations must be carried out by qualified electricians; if anything is unclear, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
