Product description
The dual gripper is a pneumatic manipulator end effector for robots and lightweight robots. Two parallel gripping arms enable simultaneous gripping or, alternatively, asynchronous movement of both arms. Control is provided through two separate compressed-air connections, allowing each arm to be actuated independently.
It operates using pneumatic cylinders that move the gripping arms when pressurized (6 bar nominal). Each arm develops up to 10 newtons of gripping force, allowing it to securely handle light to medium-weight parts in robotic applications. At approximately 1.2 kilograms, its total weight is low enough for use with lightweight robots and standard robot flanges.
Applications include automated assembly, handling lightweight components, and laboratory and demonstration projects. The gripper is particularly suitable for pick-and-place applications where two components need to be moved at the same time, such as sorting small parts in conveyor-belt simulations. The dual gripper is also commonly used in teaching and research projects involving robot arms.
It requires a robot or manipulator with an M10 flange mount and a pneumatic connection. Two solenoid valves for pressure control, a pressure regulator, and a compressed-air source are also required. For maximum service life, the compressed air should be filtered and oil-free. The gripper is designed for operating temperatures between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius.
Safety information
The gripper is subject to high forces when pressurized. Keep hands and objects out of the gripping area before applying pressure. This product is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes. When installing it on robots with higher safety requirements, consult a qualified electrician and the applicable safety regulations for robot workstations before operation.
