Product Description
This temperature sensor measures temperature values in analog form and converts them into a proportional output voltage. The linear characteristic curve of 10 mV per Kelvin simplifies conversion, and the voltage can be translated directly into degrees Celsius. Calibration is not required.
The sensor is connected between the power supply and the ADC input of a microcontroller and requires only two to three connections. Its wide operating voltage range of 4 to 30 V makes it flexible for use in various systems, whether with 5 V or 3.3 V logic. However, the sensor outputs a voltage signal that follows the supply level, so a level shifter may be required with mixed voltage levels.
In the range of 0 °C to +70 °C, the accuracy is ±0.5 °C. Outside this range, accuracy decreases, but remains suitable for temperature monitoring and logging in air-conditioning systems, incubators, or storage monitoring. The sensor is also used in portable measuring and control devices. The measurement range of -55 °C to +150 °C covers most room-temperature applications but is not suitable for extremely low-temperature cooling processes.
Operation requires a power supply module with at least 4 V and a microcontroller with an ADC input. A capacitor near the sensor's power connection stabilizes the power supply and reduces noise in the measurement signal.
