Product description
This level sensor continuously measures the liquid level in containers and tanks. The measuring principle is based on the hydrostatic pressure of the liquid surrounding the sensor's immersion tube. The resulting voltage change is converted into a proportional output signal, allowing the current liquid level to be digitally recorded.
With a measuring range from 0 to 1 m, the sensor is suitable for tanks and containers with low to medium filling depths. If you need to monitor greater liquid levels, a different device is required. The stainless steel design enables use in corrosive environments, such as saltwater applications or containers with aggressive chemicals. An internal capillary provides the necessary pressure equalization, ensuring that changes in air pressure do not distort the measurement.
The sensor can be used in supply and drainage systems for aquariums or garden ponds, in stationary tanks for fuel or heating oil, and in smaller water tanks on boats and motorhomes. It is also suitable for filling and dosing systems in laboratory applications.
The connection type varies depending on the output signal version. When choosing the analog voltage output, an analog-to-digital converter is required for digitization. Those using the 4-20-mA version need a suitable signal converter or a compatible receiver device. The sensor requires a separate power supply in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications.
