Product description
The L9110 is a motor controller breakout board for controlling two DC motors or one stepper motor via PWM signals. The board controls speed and direction by switching the input voltage to the motor terminals using pulse-width modulation. This enables stepless speed control and direction changes with minimal circuitry.
The operating voltage range of 2.5 to 12 volts makes the board flexible for use with various power sources, from battery packs and USB voltage regulators to standard laboratory power supplies. The current per channel must not exceed 800 mA; a more powerful controller is required above this limit. The four digital inputs use standard logic levels and connect easily to microcontroller boards or logic IC outputs.
Applications include small robotics projects, model vehicles with forward and reverse operation, fan control, and workshop automation such as drill chuck control. The included propeller enables immediate initial testing, for example in air-powered experiments or as a speed demonstrator.
A microcontroller or digital signal generator for PWM control, connection wires to the motor terminal blocks, and a separate power supply are required if the logic board's power supply is insufficient. The GND lines of all components must be connected to one another.
Safety information
This module is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes and is not suitable for installation in the household electrical circuit. Motors may become hot during operation; accessible surfaces must be checked regularly for unexpected temperature increases. Consult a qualified electrician if the module is to be used in or near an existing electrical installation.
Scope of delivery
