Product description
The rocker switch is a mechanical switching unit for higher current loads. The component connects and interrupts circuits by rocking a movable lever. With a switching capacity of 15 A at 250 V, the switch can directly control loads in household electrical circuits, such as lamps or small heaters.
The simple mechanical operation requires no electronics. Contacts close or open the circuit immediately when actuated, so each switching operation remains possible even without a power supply. The component operates reliably over many switching cycles.
Applications include any situation where switch visibility and ease of use are important, such as controlling laboratory setups with a real power supply, disconnecting high-voltage sources in training scenarios, or switching equipment on and off in test setups. In prototypes that operate with the actual mains supply, the switch can serve as a manual disconnect if necessary.
This component is not intended for continuous operation in household electrical installations. The 250 V mains voltage requires all work on or immediately next to the switch to be carried out or approved by a qualified electrician.
Safety information
The component operates with mains voltage and is intended only for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes, not for installation in household electrical circuits. Work on or near electrical installations must be carried out by qualified electricians. If you are unsure about safe use, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
