Product description
This silicone soldering mat protects workbenches and assemblies from direct heat radiation during soldering. The flat mat is positioned beneath or beside the soldering project and catches solder splashes, while the silicone top withstands temperatures of up to 500 °C.
The material itself is elastic and can be reused indefinitely. The printed silicone grid makes it easier to position and secure components during soldering without requiring additional holders. The rubber backing prevents the mat from slipping on smooth workbenches.
The mat is suitable for soldering electronic modules, repairing circuit boards, and assembling small devices. It also provides temporary protection under a soldering iron between work steps. The 30*40 cm surface is sufficient for small to medium-sized soldering projects.
When storing the mat, keep it flat or loosely rolled to prevent deformation. After prolonged use at high temperatures, the rubber backing may lose some of its grip. The mat does not replace a laboratory workbench made of fire-resistant materials and is not suitable as the sole protective solution for professional soldering work on very large assemblies.
