Product Description
This vacuum gripper uses three interchangeable suction attachments to securely grip various materials such as plastic, sheet metal, and rubber. The attachments accommodate different surface structures and enable flexible applications in automation technology.
The gripper generates vacuum using an external compressed-air system; a compressor with a system pressure of at least 0.6 bar is required. The suction attachments provide a secure friction-locking hold through vacuum distribution; the attachments can be changed without tools. The maximum suction stroke of 140 mm determines the thickness of the workpieces that can be handled and the maximum surface roughness.
When used with collaborative robots (cobots), the gripper can be quickly reconfigured for different tasks, such as sorting various plastic parts into storage locations or positioning sheet metal at assembly lines. It can also be used as a gripper on gantry systems when multiple material types are processed in succession.
Operation requires compressed-air generation and pressure regulation in addition to the gripper itself. The flange mount is compatible with standard quick-change systems for robot arms. Workpieces whose surface roughness exceeds the suction stroke or that have a porous structure cannot be held reliably.
Safety Information
When operating with compressed air, pressure reservoirs and overpressure valves must be designed in accordance with applicable safety regulations. The gripper may only be connected to suitable compressed-air systems. Work on the compressed-air electrical system and sensors may only be carried out by qualified electricians.
