Description
Product Overview
- GPIO expansion board for the Raspberry Pi
- Up to 32 additional inputs and outputs
- Simple plug-in connection via the I2C bus
- Compact design with no additional wiring
Product Description
This expansion module adds dozens of additional inputs and outputs to single-board computers without occupying existing interfaces. The I2C bus connects the board to the host system, and multiple modules can be operated in parallel, greatly increasing the available GPIO capacity without using additional slots.
The module uses digital inputs and outputs to read sensors, switches, and buttons and to control lamps, relays, or other loads. This makes it possible to perform measurement or control tasks without modifying the main board. The module significantly alleviates the limited GPIO count of the base system, particularly in projects with many individual components, such as home automation prototypes, model-making controls, or field measurement systems.
Connection is made via the standard I2C connector. Software can be programmed using the usual development environment. Operation requires a Raspberry Pi 2 or Pi 3; power is supplied by the host. As an expansion board only, it does not include standalone drivers or sensors.
Safety Notice
The module is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes. Work on or near electrical installations must be carried out by qualified electricians; if in doubt, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
