This goes with it
Description
Product Overview
- GPIO adapter for Micro:Bit microcontrollers
- Enables external electronics to be connected to the Micro:Bit
- 19-pin edge connector for the board
- Compatible with standard jumper wires and connectors
- Individual GPIO pins accessible separately
Product Description
The GPIO adapter provides access to the Micro:Bit microcontroller's connector headers for external circuit development. The adapter connects the Micro:Bit's 19-pin edge connector to individually accessible GPIO pins, allowing sensors, LEDs, motors, and other electronic components to be connected using standard jumper wires.
Each Micro:Bit pin is made available on the adapter as a separate connection point. This allows circuits to be built outside the board without damaging the Micro:Bit board itself or soldering contacts. No calibration or software adjustments are required.
Typical projects include robotics kits with powered wheels and sensors, data loggers with external probes, or interactive installations controlled by the Micro:Bit. The adapter is particularly suitable for school projects and prototyping, as it enables quick experimental setups.
The adapter plugs directly into the Micro:Bit's edge connector. Only standard jumper wires or other common connection means are required for operation. The Micro:Bit's power supply must be provided separately.
Safety Notice
The adapter is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes. External power supplies must be used when connecting components with higher current consumption. Not intended for installation in household mains circuits; work on or near electrical installations must be carried out by qualified electricians.
