Product Description
A gear motor with 1:48 reduction converts the high speed of the DC motor into slow, high-torque rotation. The output shaft extends on both sides, allowing one motor to drive two wheels or drive components simultaneously. The plastic housing contains the gear transmission, while the motor housing is made of metal.
Connected cables with plugs enable immediate connection to a power source or motor driver without soldering. The direction of rotation can be reversed by swapping the polarity. At a voltage of 3 V, the shaft reaches approximately 90 revolutions per minute; at 6 V, it reaches around 200 revolutions per minute.
The operating current significantly exceeds the load capacity of microcontroller pins. A separate motor driver such as the L298N must be connected between the motor and the control board to regulate the direction of rotation and speed. Such drivers also enable pulse-width modulation for stepless acceleration and braking.
The motor is suitable for small robotic vehicles, line followers with two driven wheels, model vehicles, and school projects. A DC power source (3–6 V), a motor driver IC, and, if required, connection cables to the control board are needed.
Safety Notice
This motor is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes. Correct connection to the motor driver is required to prevent damage. If you are unsure about the power supply or driver connection, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
