Product description
This servo motor rotates an output shaft to a specified angle and automatically holds its position. A DC motor drives the shaft through a plastic gear train, while a potentiometer detects the current position. The internal control electronics adjust the motor until the desired position is reached.
The control signal is sent via PWM over a single signal wire; one digital output from a microcontroller is sufficient. The pulse length directly determines the rotation angle. All three wires (power, signal, ground) run through the JR-compatible connector, so only one connection is needed.
Its low weight of 9 g and compact size make it suitable for lightweight mechanisms such as camera mounts, model vehicle steering, or robotics prototypes. Its stall torque is not sufficient for sustained heavy loads or continuous rotation.
It operates at voltages between 3.5 and 6 V and can be connected to 5 V microcontroller boards as well as 4.8 V battery packs in model vehicles. If you use 3.3 V systems, check the lower voltage limit, as performance decreases at that voltage.
Safety notice
Incorrect polarity can damage the servo; check the connector pinout before plugging it in. The gears can be damaged by overloading or a jammed shaft; do not force it against the stop. This product is intended solely for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes, not for continuous operation in household electrical circuits.
