Product description
This microcontroller board is based on the ATmega328P and serves as a starting point for projects involving digital and analog circuits. The 8-bit chip runs at 16 MHz and provides 32 KB of flash memory for programs, plus 2 KB of SRAM and 1 KB of EEPROM for runtime data. The 14 digital pins provide 5 V logic levels and can continuously sink up to 20 mA per pin; 40 mA is the maximum permitted.
Six of the digital pins function as PWM outputs with 8-bit resolution for controlling the brightness of LEDs or the speed of motors. Pins 2 and 3 detect external interrupt signals on low levels, edge transitions, or signal changes. I2C via pins A4 and A5 and SPI via pins 10 to 13 are available for data exchange with sensors and modules. The six analog inputs convert voltages into 1024 different digital values with 10-bit resolution.
Power is supplied via the USB port, the barrel jack, or directly through the Vin pin. An external voltage source should provide between 7 and 12 V. The board works with the Arduino development environment; code is transferred to the chip via USB. Alternatively, the ICSP header enables direct programming of the chip for bootloader renewal or similar operations.
Typical applications include controlling sensors and actuators such as relay modules or driving I2C displays for home automation projects. The Arduino IDE is required for operation, and a USB cable is included. An external power supply is only necessary if the board is to be operated without a USB connection or if the power consumption of the connected components exceeds the USB power supply.
Safety information
This board is not intended for installation in household electrical circuits. It is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes. Work on or near household electrical installations may only be carried out by a qualified electrician; if in doubt, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
