Product Description

This micro servo with an unlimited range of rotation replaces the angle control of a standard servo with continuous rotation. The slip-ring system enables full 360-degree rotations without mechanical stops. Control is provided via PWM signals using the standard servo protocol, as output by any microcontroller board or conventional servo controller.

An operating voltage between 4.8 and 6 volts determines the possible applications. The module connects directly to 5 V logic pins on standard boards; for 3.3 V systems, an external power supply or level shifter is required. The maximum speed of approximately 60 revolutions per minute at optimal voltage and light load enables smooth, controllable movements. The torque of approximately 1.3 newton meters is sufficient for light loads of up to around 200 grams in typical applications.

Applications include robotics, mobile robots with drive wheels, camera mounts with continuously adjustable panning, and object sorters with rotating mechanisms. Smaller applications, such as miniature gear systems in model kits, also benefit from the compact dimensions.

The motor requires an external power supply that operates independently of the control signal. An average 5 V power supply or a battery-powered supply with sufficient capacity is necessary. Loads over approximately 200 grams result in reduced speed and excessive power consumption.
