Product description
A weather station kit combines a WiFi-enabled microcontroller with digital sensors for temperature, humidity, and air pressure. The set is powered via a USB connection and can immediately record measurement data after assembly and transmit it wirelessly to the local network.
The sensors send their readings to the microcontroller via digital interfaces, and the microcontroller processes the data and sends it via WLAN to a receiver. The 3.3 V operating voltage is supplied by a USB power source, so no separate power adapter is required. The sensors are calibrated at the factory, eliminating the need for recalibration.
The kit can be used in hobby rooms or school projects for real-time monitoring of indoor climate and weather trends, as well as for long-term recording of environmental conditions. One specific application scenario would be connecting it to a local web server, where the measurement data is retrieved every ten minutes and displayed graphically.
A functioning WLAN network with an open configuration or WPA2 encryption is required. The preinstalled firmware requires a computer with a USB interface for initial setup. The program can be modified or rewritten, but this requires a suitable development environment.
