Product description
An electronic controller for brushed DC motors controls the speed using pulse-width modulation. The controller processes control signals from RC receivers or microcontroller boards and converts them into variable motor power.
The device works with 2S and 3S lithium batteries, corresponding to voltages of 7.4 V and 11.1 V, respectively. The continuous load capacity of 10 A limits the motor size; larger motors require a more powerful controller. Integrated current limiting prevents overload and extends the service life of the motor and battery.
The controller supports bidirectional driving, allowing the rotation direction to be switched. This makes it suitable for remote-controlled model cars, small mobile robots with drive motors, and experimental vehicle projects that require reversible movement. This functionality is also used in model boats and drone landing gear.
Control is provided via PWM signals with standard pulse widths of approximately 1 to 2 milliseconds. This requires a 3-channel RC receiver or a microcontroller with a PWM output, as well as a suitable 2S or 3S lithium battery. The controller itself has no integrated power supply and is powered directly by the battery.
Safety notice
Lithium batteries must not be deeply discharged and require a suitable charger with a balancing function. This controller is intended exclusively for building prototypes and models, as well as for testing and development purposes, and is not suitable for integration into the household power grid.
