Product Description
This brushless motor, designated RS1306 Version 2, offers 2700 revolutions per volt (KV) and is suitable for small to medium-sized drones and racing drones. The 1306 size fits frames with limited space without sacrificing efficiency.
The motor provides continuous thrust of up to approximately 1.2 kg and can handle currents of up to 30 A for short periods. Since there are no brush pairs that cause wear, maintenance is completely eliminated. Control is provided by an electronic speed controller (ESC) that must be rated for at least 30 A and drives the three-phase windings at high frequency.
The 2700 KV characteristic means a higher maximum speed under lower loads, making it particularly attractive for fast flight maneuvers and racing applications. Projects with payloads of up to approximately 500 grams can be implemented with this motor; with heavier loads, flight time decreases significantly or the takeoff speed becomes too high.
Operation requires a compatible ESC with firmware for three-phase motors, as well as a power source (battery pack) with sufficient current delivery capability. The winding temperature should not exceed 80 degrees during continuous operation; brief overloading can lead to idealized coil damage. Continuous high-load flights require cooling through airflow or cooldown breaks.
Safety Information
When powered, the motor generates intense electromagnetic fields and rotates at high speed. There is a risk of injury from the propeller during operation; fingers and loose objects must remain at a safe distance. This motor is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes, not for use in consumer products or household installations. If you have questions about safely integrating it into a flight system or about ESC compatibility, consult a qualified electrician.
