Product Description
This small electric motor operates in the 3 to 6-volt range and is suitable for solar-powered models and battery-powered projects where low power consumption and light weight are important. Under load, the motor reaches speeds of up to approximately 12000 revolutions per minute, allowing it to be used with directly driven elements without requiring a gearbox.
The motor tolerates voltages between 3 and 6 volts without additional regulation, although its speed and current consumption increase within this range. The JST-PH2-0 connector system provides reliable contacts and simplifies installation and removal.
Typical applications include solar robots in laboratories or school projects, small fan propellers for compensating localized heat loads, stirring devices in chemical experiments, or slowly moving transport models in dioramas. In all cases, the motor operates without external speed control, but can be controlled with a PWM controller if required.
The power supply from a solar module or battery must be matched to the connector pinout. At very low voltages below 3 volts, the torque decreases significantly. A mechanical load of more than a few grams requires either a stronger power supply or a gearbox, which increases the size of the assembly.
Safety Notice
The motor is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes. Using power supplies above 6 volts poses a risk of overheating and damage. Contact with rotating parts may cause injuries, so ensure that running motors are not accessible.
