Product description
This drill bit set contains three carbide twist drills for ultra-fine holes under half a millimeter. Their extremely small design makes them indispensable wherever precise holes need to be created in tight spaces, such as when populating circuit boards, drilling mounting holes in electronic housings, or producing complex plastic parts.
The hard cutting material cleanly penetrates even brittle materials without causing breakouts. The drill bits operate at speeds of up to 20,000 rpm and require only minimal feed force. Anyone who regularly works with miniature drilling can avoid damaging workpiece surfaces.
The three diameters cover the most common drilling requirements, from mounting holes to marking points. Such fine holes are frequently needed, especially when prototyping electronic circuits or adapting housings. The standardized shank fits all common drill chucks and lathe collets.
The drill bits are wear tools and must be resharpened or replaced after several hundred holes. For optimal results, they should be positioned perpendicular to the workpiece and guided with constant pressure, as the thin drill bits can break under excessive lateral pressure.
Safety information
These drill bits are tools for manual and machine operations. When operating drills or lathes, use protective equipment and secure long hair, jewelry, and loose clothing. If you have questions about proper attachment or operation of the chucking device, consult a qualified electrician or an experienced specialist.
