Product description

This boat kit provides the basic structure for a self-built watercraft with a dual-motor drive. The kit contains all mechanical components as well as two DC motors that can be controlled independently of each other. This allows the direction of movement and driving speed to be adjusted flexibly, which is essential for turning and targeted maneuver control.

The two motors are controlled using PWM signals (pulse-width modulation). This operating mode makes it possible to vary the speed continuously without unnecessarily increasing power consumption. To operate the boat, a separate control module such as a standard microcontroller with at least two PWM outputs is required; a battery pack must also be purchased separately.

Use cases include beginner learning projects for understanding motor control and movement coordination, autonomous water robots with sensor integration for obstacle avoidance, and remote-controlled model vehicles. In school lessons, the kit is suitable for teaching the fundamentals of robotics; in private projects, it can be used to create a test-platform-controlled boat that records environmental data and responds to it.

Basic manual skills are required for assembly. Before commissioning, determine the current required by the motors during operation to properly size the battery capacity and wire cross-sections. The kit does not include control electronics or a power supply; both must be added according to the planned project.
