Product description
This temperature and humidity sensor measures two parameters simultaneously and transmits the values digitally to microcontrollers. The single-wire protocol requires only one signal line, keeping wiring to a minimum; in addition to power and ground, a single data pin is sufficient.
Measurement accuracy is ±2 °C for temperature and ±5% for relative humidity. The temperature measuring range of 0–50 °C covers indoor environments and many technical applications, but not high-temperature or extreme-cold environments. The humidity measurement reliably covers 20–80% relative humidity; outside this range, the sensor no longer provides accurate readings.
The sensor is suitable for indoor climate measurements, greenhouse monitoring, storage monitoring, and consumer devices such as digital hygrometers. It also performs reliably in automation projects that depend on cost-effective sensor data. A typical application is monitoring storage conditions, where temperature and humidity are continuously recorded and evaluated, for example to trigger threshold conditions and issue warnings.
The XH2.54 connector enables secure connections without soldering. Operation requires a microcontroller with a free digital input; control is performed using libraries for common platforms. The sensor operates at voltages between 3.3 and 5 V, and level shifters are not required. Measurements can be taken every second; the protocol is not designed for faster operation.
