Product description
A capacitive proximity sensor detects objects up to 30 mm away and signals their presence when triggered. The field is generated by a high-frequency signal at the sensor surface and is interrupted when a material approaches. The sensor then switches its output.
The operating voltage between 10 and 36 volts enables connection to DIN rail power supplies, 24 V power supplies, and many building-related voltage sources. The M30 thread with front mounting fits into sheet-metal drill holes and DIN rail enclosures. The LED indicates the switching status at a glance.
The sensor works with conductive and non-conductive materials alike, detecting wood, plastic, ceramic, and metal. Typical applications include machine automation, such as counting parts on conveyor belts, confirming positions during assembly, or detecting shaft covers in production systems. Static fill levels in containers can also be monitored without penetrating the front wall.
The sensor requires no calibration. The connection type must be checked for field wiring via screw terminals. The sensing range may vary by approximately 10 percent depending on the material and surface.
Safety information
The sensor is not intended for installation in the household power circuit. This device is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes. Work on or near electrical installations must be carried out by qualified electricians. If there is any uncertainty about the power supply or connection type, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
