Product Description
An expansion adapter connects the compact micro:bit board to a breadboard or custom circuits. The module uses the micro:bit's Edge Connector and provides access to all 20 controller pins, which would otherwise be concealed by the enclosure edges.
The board fits the standard 0.1-inch pitch and can be plugged in or soldered there. This allows analog inputs for sensors and digital outputs for motors or relays to be operated in parallel, without individual pins being blocked by the power connections. The labeling on the board shows the function of each pin, allowing wiring to be identified and checked quickly.
It is commonly used to operate several sensors simultaneously, such as motion detectors, light sensors, and temperature sensors in one project. The board is also suitable for controlling LEDs, buzzers, or simple motors via separate output pins. In educational settings, full access to all pins enables experimental circuits without major modifications between tasks.
