Product Description
This aluminum case protects a Raspberry Pi 4 from environmental influences and damage. The low-profile design enables installation in compact systems and keeps the system cool enough through heat conduction for longer continuous operation without additional fans.
The aluminum absorbs the processor's heat and dissipates it to the outside. This significantly reduces the risk of throttling during intensive computing tasks or continuous operation. Passive heat conduction is sufficient in many cases; those planning for extreme loads or very warm environments can additionally integrate a fan.
The case is suitable for data logger projects that record values over hours or days, network installations with a wired setup, or as a basis for small industrial controllers with Raspberry Pi. The compact form also fits in space-limited mounting situations.
For operation, the Raspberry Pi 4 requires a Micro-HDMI cable, USB-C power supply, and SD card, which must be obtained separately. The cooling performance is not sufficient for overclocked systems or continuous operation without air circulation in very warm rooms above 35 °C.
