Product description
The battery holder supplies power to electronic circuits and portable projects. Six AA cells and a separate 9 V battery are connected in parallel and provide a stable output voltage of 9 V DC. Power delivery via a standardized barrel plug enables quick connections to boards and modules; alternatively, solder pads allow direct connection to the circuit.
The integrated switch completely disconnects the power supply when the circuit is not needed. This significantly reduces the power consumption of inactive projects and extends battery life.
The holder is particularly suitable for mobile circuits, sensor projects with wireless transmitters, simple LED installations, or portable measurement projects. For operating times of more than several hours, high-capacity AA cells or rechargeable batteries are recommended for economical operation.
The 9 V output voltage connects directly to boards with suitable voltage inputs. For circuits requiring a lower voltage, a voltage regulator is needed to reduce the voltage and protect the components from overload. The holder is designed for prototypes and development purposes; continuous operation in confined enclosures should be avoided because no heat dissipation is provided.
Safety information
Batteries must not be short-circuited and must be secured against swallowing, especially the 9 V battery. This holder is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes and is not suitable for installation in household electrical circuits.
